Project Scope

I worked on this project as part of the WAGAS team for their first NFT movie collection. I was given the role of project managing as well as branding and content creation for social media. I also created the logo and produced a marketing strategy.

Design Contributions

Problem

There were many issues to take into account considering it was the first attempt at an NFT project. Multi-tasking as part of a small team and ensuring the project was running on time while also being responsible for content creation was challenging.

Solution

After creating a project plan and allocating team members responsibilities on social their social media channels, I was able to focus on content creation in the form of GIFS, animations and graphics to generate engagement over social media.

Live event

Challenges

Co-ordinate a large event and market to the appropriate audience over social media.

Metaverse

This project required research into VR, Web 3.0 and the widely tipped Metaverse as the next big digital movement. The event would be live streamed and accessible via the Metaverse to an Asian audience. This was to enable those who could not attend in person to be part of the event and purchase NFTs at the auction.

Social Media Campaign

The easiest way to market to a crypto audience was on social media and particularly Twitter.

The campaign included daily posts relating to the event, our NFT collections and the meta verse in general.

We used perks and giveaways as part of the marketing campaign to gain interest in the project.

Event Marketing

There was a large push on social media to market the speakers, sponsors and partners in the lead up to the event. I created digital and print materials to help achieve this.

Multitasking

I worked in a small team as the Project Manager, Graphic/Web designer, Branding and Social Media Marketing creator.

Design Rationale

Targeting crytpo investors and fans of the film, UX practices such as personas, market research and requirements documents were developed before creating the work. The content design was based on the existing artwork from the movie.

Results

A successful event in Cannes and NFT launch that build strong business relationships and NFT sales. Reflection To build a community over social media requires consistent posting and engagement with your audience and is not something that can be done overnight.
