CRM & Website re-design for a business management software provider
UX/UI Design, Development, Product
Project Scope
I worked on Optimise and was immediately given the task of re-designing their main website.
I mocked up screens and developed a new look and feel on WordPress.
I then moved onto improving the companys CRM working alongside the lead developer.
Design Contributions
I was entirely responsible for the development of the website. I worked as a UX/UI designer on the CRM taking sections from the lead developer and enhancing their usability.
Competitive Analysis
I researched competitors by signing up for free trials to their applications and analysing aspects of their dashboards.
I collected screens of 4 different CRMs and worked out what features enhanced the user experince and what made life more difficult.
I presented my findings to the rest of the team and put forward solutions to the lead developer and management team.
Design Rationale
This project involved re-designing pages and sections of an advanced application. I kept within original brand guidlines and focussed on improving usability and site performance. I worked on making the companies message and features easier to understand.
Results
Re-branded website with improved functionality and aesthetics. A more user friendly and accesible business management CRM.
Reflection
Collaboration with the lead developer was key as he allready had an in-depth understanding of the CRM application and I was able to bounce ideas off him. Competitor research can be useful when looking to incorporate new features but must always have some form of user feedback first.
